Something to Watch - Warfare
Warfare. A film that is difficult to watch that you also don’t want to end. Sort of. Co-written and co-directed by Ray Mendoza and Alex Garland, Warfare is based on the memories of the Navy Seals this experience happened to, included Ray himself.
This movie is absolutely arresting and not for the faint of heart. It’s a tight hour and a half that is completely void of context and character and relies entirely on the what, not the why. Philadelphia native, Chris Ryan, said it best. It’s about how it makes you feel, first, and what you think about it, second. If you’re a fan of war films, this won’t disappoint.
