Something to Watch - 28 Years Later

Is there, dare I say it, another reason to go to the movies? Yes, there is.

The third installment of the 28 (insert period of time here) Later franchise is back. From the writer of Ex Machina and the director of Slumdog Millionaire, 28 Years Later follows a group of survivors 28 years after the outbreak of a zombie apocalypse. If you haven’t seen the first two movies, you’re missing out. Despite the fact that it looks like they shot the first one on a handheld Best Buy camera (because they basically actually did) these movies are still genre defining. And, now with a proper budget, and judging by the absolutely gross image of maybe human maybe zombie maybe Cillian Murphy in the trailer’s thumbnail below, the cgi is sure to look pretty damn good too.
